Telephone counselling, information and referrals for expecting and new parents experiencing mental health challenges including LGBTIQ. Helpline counsellors have backgrounds in psychology, social work, counselling and nursing. Helpline services work closely with other health professionals such as GPs, psychologists, midwives and child health nurses. Alternatively, a separate team of trained volunteers with lived experience of perinatal anxiety and depression can offer their support. Initial consultation can last up to an hour. Ongoing support available for weeks, months as needed. Freely available Mon-Fri 9am-7:30pm AEST/AEDT.
